Linking and account creation for rostered teachers in Legacy Gizmos

Your district has implemented single sign-on and auto-rostering services to provide a more seamless and integrated Gizmos experience. The auto-rostering process will import all of your classes and student rosters into your active Gizmos teacher account.

To access Gizmos, you must log in through your school’s launchpad or portal by clicking on the Gizmos or ExploreLearning icon, depending on your school’s portal. Please refrain from accessing Gizmos via our website to prevent complications or inaccuracies in your rostered account.
Accessing Gizmos through your school’s launchpad or portal is the most reliable and convenient way to log in.



Now that your account is rostered, the first time you log in to Gizmos from your school's launchpad or portal, you will arrive on our linking page, where you will go through a one-time registration process.
Once you have fully integrated your school account to Gizmos, you will go directly to your Class List on your Gizmos 'My Homepage.'

Linking an Existing Gizmos Teacher Account

If you have an existing Gizmos teacher account you want to link, enter your Gizmos credentials on the ExploreLearning linking page and select Login.



Registering as a New Gizmos Teacher


If you do not have a Gizmos teacher account, select Register a New Account on the ExploreLearning linking page.



You will be asked to fill out a User Registration Form on the next page, including creating a Gizmos username and password for your new account. Your credentials will allow you to access Gizmos from outside of your school portal as a secondary method.

Click Submit to create your Gizmos Teacher Account.


Integrating Your Classes

After you log in, you will be taken to the Integrating Your Classes page. Here, you can link your existing Gizmos classes and associated Gizmos Lists to the classes set up in the rostering files.

You will be asked to confirm which of your Gizmos classes match the class information uploaded by the rostering process. This will move your previously created Gizmos List for that class into your newly created rostered class.

If you do not have a Gizmos class that corresponds to any of your newly rostered classes set up by your district, select Create New Class to import the rostered class and associated student accounts into your Gizmos Class List.

Student Access

Your students cannot access your class or assignments until you have logged into Gizmos via your school portal and integrated your classes.
Once you have completed all of the steps above, students will log in to their accounts automatically after clicking the Gizmos or ExploreLearning icon in the school portal.
